LOW ENERGY HOUSE HEILIGENBERG

Semi-detached, timber frame, low energy house, built in 1993/94. Basement built with 49cm of insulating bricks and 8cm extra foamglass insulation, timber frames with 20cm of insulation and 28cm in the roof. The double glazing had just been improved to only loosing about 1,3 W/m²*K. Constuction wood: douglas fir, outer skin: larch. The stairs were added on the outside thus lowering the costs and leaving more space for rooms.

The erection of the timber frame structure took just a week. I think I ought to take a photo every hour next time I build a house.
